Love on Earth

I received a vision of Love on Earth from the Earth a few years ago during a medicine journey.

It came to me as a feeling tone that awakened something in me.

At the time, I wasn’t sure what to do with it.

I didn’t have language for it then.

I just had this feeling and a deep sense of clarity.

I assumed that I was given this feeling and this clarity so that I could go and tell other people about it.

Isn’t that what our culture says? We have to convince others to see the world the way that we do. We have prove that our way is best, and “right”, and possible. But overtime I’ve come to realize that this isn’t my assignment.

Love isn’t a destination, it’s a decision.

And accordingly, Love on Earth isn’t something to be deliberated it’s something to be chosen and embodied. To choose love in these times is not an easy task and it doesn’t appear to be getting any easier.

But Love is the force that sees clearly.

Love sees how desperately most of us are just trying to feel safe and validated and valued. Love sees the trauma responses and survival strategies that we keep reaching for; despite the fact that they don’t give us what we truly seek. Love sees without judgement how we shrink in the face of unknown, because Love knows that the unknown is also the unexperienced. Love emboldens us to make choices that are loving to ourselves. Love asks us for our trust and our willingness to start with ourselves. Our willingness to hold our own pain, so that we can make it conscious. Because love requires consciousness, and consciousness can be directed by love.

The Earth showed me that we have it in us, to really love each other. It’s a truth I can feel even now. The evidence to the contrary doesn’t dispute this truth, contrast can teach us if we let it. If we listen to it, it can help us transform and heal. It can help us know Love.

The difference is as simple as the decision to choose love.

Right here and right now; I’m already Love on Earth. Simply because I’ve chosen to be. When I inevitably stray from that path, I can choose again.

The difference is as simple as the decision to choose love.

And if we are of the Earth

Then maybe we could be the Heaven

That we’ve dreamed must be waiting

On the other side of the suffering

We’ve been taught to accept
