Our Place in the Skies

Our Place in the Skies is a call to rise and a call to return to the true source of our power. It is the story of one woman’s becoming, with the understanding that to become; is to simply remember.

Our Place in the Skies is rooted in the remembrance that in every moment of everyday, we are already of the skies. We are not separate from life and the life we build on Earth is not separate from the galaxy that holds us. To rise is to claim what has always been ours, to remember who we were before we were told who to be.

Our Place in the Skies thoughtfully centers the Author’s experiences as a Black Woman, and the healing of Black People, to paint visions of a future rooted in a love that knows what’s what. To offer the possibility that the past has brought us to this moment, so we might ask; what if ours has always been a story of love?

Spanning 270 pages, and including over 110 poems, Our Place in the Skies dances between realm and reason to deliver a story of expanding consciousness. The poetry in this book engages with the complexities of Artistry, identity, oppression, spirituality, belonging, and power, all while remaining deeply committed to the creation of Love on Earth through an alignment with life itself.

This paperback version of Our Place in the Skies has a matte cover and is printed on recycled paper and includes a complimentary 4x4 art print. Each book is thoughtfully shipped using recycled, and recyclable, packaging materials. Please re-use, renew, and recycle.
